Fran Ali is 56Km from Tetouan, 8Km from Oued Laou and 4Km from the Soko Sebt Bni Said. This village is characterized by the traditional pottery forms made by women. Most families live and depend on this economy dominated by the wholesalers. Access to Education is difficult in this community where most of girls are employed to support the production of the pottery. ADEO is the local organisation working to improve work conditions as well as encourage educational programs on new techniques to extract the clay, new design development. They aim to make people aware of fair trade laws as well as help them to better protect the environment. |
